Our Team
Mike Fortune is a 6th generation resident of the southern Appalachian highlands. He founded Green Hill Urban Farm in 2005, and has specialized in wholesale business with restaruants and distributors during that time.
Green Hill Urban Farm extends its gratitude to Tom Roach for his support and help for last season and this upcoming season. Tom is an old timer from Barnardsville, NC who has an abundance of native plant wisdom as well as domestic agriculture knowledge.
Bill Whipple, also known as Professor T. Bud Barkslip, has moved his fruit tree nursery Green Hill Urban Farm. This year Bill has mad himself responsible for the well being of over 500 trees.
Green Hill Urban Farm is super excited to have Adam Strange selling his artwork at our West Asheville location.
Caitlin lives on Green Hill and helps out with the farm. Her specialty is ducks and their production of eggs.

After a short test period, it is official, Torpedo, a 2 year old golden cascade/khaki campbell has become the newest member of the Green Hill flock. She has taught the flock to break dance, likes to quack, and enjoys 33 degree baths daily. Welcome Torpedo.
