Green Hill Urban Farm is proud to introduce the newest addition to our team, the Ducks. Residing in the Habiquack, our duckling habitat consisting of protective netting, flowers, herbs, a mini pond, and a draw bridge duck house, these cute little birds will patrol Green Hill for slugs and other insects while leaving behind nice piles of fertilizer. While chickens can be used for the same purpose, ducks do not scratch very much and are gentle on the garden areas. They are also quiet egg layers that are much more suited for an urban environmen

After a short test period, it is official, Torpedo, a 2 year old golden cascade/khaki campbell has become the newest member of the Green Hill flock. She has taught the flock to break dance, likes to quack, and enjoys 33 degree baths daily. Welcome Torpedo.
